On the heels of their ground breaking Aksum//Africa.2013 campaign, Sydney-based eyewear brand ENKI have raised the bar even higher with their Aror//India 2015 campaign.

Instead, the team embarks on adventures to remote parts of the globe, and captures the magic they encounter through stunning, authentic photographic images – placing ENKI’s graphic designs in an unexpected and bewitching context every time.

The recent India campaign involved a full month on the ground in Rajasthan, Northern India. ENKI founder and designer Jesse Walker says

“We’d researched the tribes we wanted to work with, and knew where we had to go – but we hadn’t planned anything prior to arrival. Our campaigns always come together organically by talking to people and forming spontaneous, genuine connections.” In India this led us to find the amazing gypsy women featured in our campaign, who our photographer Sarah Christensen shot against the dramatic sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer.” “Unexpected things always happen on our trips – this time we arrived in the middle of monsoon season – but it’s this sense of jumping into the unknown that ENKI is all about. We’re all about doing things differently, and showing people the world in a whole new light.”

ENKI’s new range definitely reflects the brand’s unorthodox approach with its bold, futuristic styles. As with all ENKI’s designs, every pair is handcrafted using the finest acetates and antique gold and silver detailing. The matte luxe finishes and eye-catching pastels make them a stand-out in any environment, whether it’s on the beach or in the urban jungle.
