There’s a little something for everyone in the new collection…

Striking midnight last night (or this morning, depend on how you look at it), Calvin Klein’s second collaboration with Heron Preston ‘Session 2’ went live, and it somehow manages to surpass the expectations Calvin Klein set with creative consultant Heron Preston on their first drop.

Taking inspiration from streetwear and the notion of essentiality, the new drop revisits the roots of Calvin Klein through a new-age lens, meshing the beginning and future as they craft pieces designed for everyday use.

Naturally, signature Calvin pieces such as bralettes, long sleeved crop tops and leggings all appear in the new range, along with new knits and denim jackets. They’re set to keep you warm on the more chilly days as well, with the addition of waffle thermal knits, linen shirt jackets and puffers, all of which tailored for a present and future fit.

The emphasis on aesthetic pleasure continues however, with experimentation in texture and colour enhancing the various sizes of the silhouettes. Oversized, overstated or simplistic, there’s a commonality throughout, all tied together by the signature orange detailing embedded amongst the various pieces.

It’s a collection geared toward looking and feeling great, but, in true 2021 fashion, it minimises the effect on the environment, sustainably-sourced materials trust to the forefront in the form of organic cotton, recycled polyester and recycled nylon.

Definitely an evolution of the Calvin Klein ethos. Check out some more pieces from ‘Session 2’ below modeled by Nas, Koa, TY, Akobi, Devyn, Savion and Raph, directed and shot by Ricky Saiz. Be sure to shop it here.
