It’s no secret that the fashion space has been looking towards metal aesthetic for some not-so-subtle inspiration in recent seasons.

Metallica, Iron Maiden and Cradle of Filth are just some of the bands who have had their iconic logos re-appropriated by everyone from Kanye West, Balenciaga and Vetements, and it’s clear that these guitar-heavy acts from yesteryear have found an unlikely new life in style circles. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger have headed down a similar route in their third collaborative collection, which unveils a stack of merchandise from the duo.

While Tommy Hilfiger’s lively colour-blocking became synonymous with hip-hop during the 1990s, they’ve also backed tours with the likes of Sheryl Crow and Lenny Kravitz in the past – so this latest direction isn’t as farfetched as one might think. Sharp logos are teamed with rock wardrobe staples that are heavy on leather, plaid, distressed denim and latex, making this collection one to wear while you’re on the Tommy tour.
