ICYMI, last week we took a look at some of our favourite Vans collabs out of their huge back catalogue. And, to be honest, we may have underestimated just how many weird and wonderful kicks they’ve released, so we thought we’d throw in another ten that revved our engines. Check it out below and head here to shop Vans now:
Celebrating 60 years of space exploration, Vans teamed up with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for a one of favourite collab across anything ever. This collection is better than peanut butter and jelly, salt and vinegar, Harrold and Kumar – the whole lot.
Like wearing Vans but also like the hiking/camping life? Their The North Face collection took on the Sk8-Hi MTE LX and Desert Chukka MTE LX silhouettes in three colourways, and also had specially incorporated functional elements including: gusseted tongues, reversed waffle lug outsoles, heat retention technologies, The North Face’s slip-resistant winterGRIP and weatherized leather/suede uppers. Ain’t no mountain high enough!
Van and Vans, gotta be a match made in heaven, right? Honestly I reckon the clothing that came with these kicks is probably some of the best garm Vans have ever dropped.
A mouth-watering collab that incorporates the White Castle crest over the Sk8-Hi, Authentic and Slip-On, this is collection ought to be hitting home for anyone who needs to rep their favourite burger chain at all times (if there are people like that out there?). We salute you.
Are the “Dark Side/Storm Camo” the best Vans kicks ever? Probably not. But something about the storm trooper package shot on the top of the right kick is fucking great.
Strap yourself in for some N64 nostalgia with this Nintendo collab that features some of the classics. OG games like Donkey Kong, Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. are all featured in the collection which we are imagining was a massive hit in Japan (and beyond).
Three years after his death, Vans incorporated some of the Starman’s iconic imagery for a collection that (we’re assuming) would have made the man himself proud. Taking over the Slip-On 47 V DX, Era, Old Skool, and Sk8-Hi silhouettes, the range borrows from the artwork of Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, and Aladdin Sane, celebrating Bowie’s evolutions and versatility.
Baby pinks and blues on Slip-On LX, OG Old-Skool LX, and the OG Chukka LX? Take my damn money. Chuck in a little bit of off white and I’m in love.
New York punk legends Gorilla Biscuits and Vans dropped this one a over a decade ago and it’s safe to say we’re still very much into the soft block colourways.
We can’t quite tell if these are some of the coolest Vans ever or if it’s Vans ambassador Anderson .Paak who just makes them look extremely cool. Either way, both these colourways actually feel like they were truly designed by the enigmatic drummer/vocalist himself and capture the energy he radiates.
