I suppose that when you’re one of the richest musicians in the world and a fledgling multi-industry mogul, you can pretty much do what you want; there probably aren’t many people who say no to the powerhouse that is Rihanna. And look, nine times out of ten, that’s probably a good thing, but this film noir advert she’s just dropped is a big swing, and we’re not quite sure if it’s a miss or a hit.

The two-min short, titled Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours, sees RiRi play a bandit of some sort, alongside A$AP Rocky who narrates the movie in a homage to 1950s Hollywood. The voiceover is clearly not A$AP which makes it funny, bordering on strange.

Of course, with Rihanna being the savvy businesswoman that she is, there’s a product involved with the theft of A$AP’s Fenty Lux Balm being the real crime…
