Rihanna Is A High-Fashion Apocalyptic Goddess On The Cover Of W Magazine
She can do no wrong.

We were pretty sure that Rihanna could do no wrong after her ambitious album ANTI struck all the right chords when it dropped at the start of 2016, and now we have confirmation: The R&B icon has appeared on the cover of W Magazine once more, this time as a high-fashion apocalyptic goddess.

The ominous editorial images Rihanna as “the last woman on Earth and the ruling warrior queen in a dark, dystopian future,” transforming the singer into a metallic overlord complete with bejeweled lips, animals on chains and the bad attitude to match. Photographed by Steven Klein and styled by Edward Enninful, Rihanna wears Cartier, Christopher Kane and Prada and looks equal parts terrifying and alluring, while the barren backdrop is filled with flames and explosions that add to the shoot’s violent aesthetic.

It’s an ambitious concept that only the likes of Rihanna could pull off, because as W Magazine state, she’s the “baddest bitch of the post-apocalypse.” If the shoot is accurate and Rihanna does end up being the last woman on Earth, then we’ll consider it a fitting swan song to humanity if she looks this fierce.
