Welcome to hell(fire club)!

Normally when we’re talking about Vans collabs, we need to give a little intro and talk about what label or brand they’re creating with, but if you haven’t heard of Stranger Things, there’s not much we can do for you. It was Netflix’s flagship show when they launched and is still the most-watched English language show on the streaming platform. But you already know all of that…

To celebrate Stranger Things entering its fourth and final season, which has been broken up into two delightfully lengthy volumes, they’ve linked up with champions of action sports and creative expression Vans for a head-to-toe capsule.

The footwear assortment is spearheaded by the Upside Down-flavoured Sk8-Hi Reissue, complete with furry suede uppers and a demogrogon screen print outsole. The Hellfire Club Style 36 is awash with skulls, axes, and throwing stars from Dungeons & Dragons across a distressed and doodled-on outsole, and the Vans Authentic gets a Surfer Boy Pizza re-work complete with black-and-white and red-and-white checkerboard and palm trees.

And that’s not all. The capsule also includes a range of apparel and accessories, led by the Hellfire Club Jean Jacket in rigid black over-dye denim. A woven camp shirt and short set takes a 1980s-inspired trip to Echo Beach, with an all over repeat pattern and text reading “Off the Wall / Upside Down”. Graphic tees mash-up Vans’ heritage through a Stranger Things lens, seen in a vintage surf poster graphic with Demogorgons on the shore and a reversible play on the classic “Man, I Need Vans” slogan.

Check out the whole collection below and set a reminder for August 26, when the footwear is released at select Vans retailers and Vans.com.au, with apparel and accessories dropping shortly after – sign up at vans.com.au/strangerthings to be notified.
