Comfiest shoe of the year?

Following their acclaimed Sailor Moon collab a couple of weeks back, Vans’ love affair with the Old Skool continues, with the apparel lords revamping the Overt CC for a kick optimised for peak comfortability.

Designed around a rubber outsole, the kick allows for a more freeing fit that simultaneously offers security in the form of higher grip and traction. Along with the optimal sole, an abundant of foam runs along the shoe’s collar, tongue and quarter panels that help you feel like you’re walking on a literal cloud (talking from first-hand experience here).

The crown jewel of the shoe however is easily the 360-degree sculpted midsole, which not only offers a compression channel crumple zone but a molded removable insole. Aesthetically, the shoes utilise a minimal colour palette ranging from sand/white to light grey, striking a neutral blend that helps the functionality underpinning the shoe shine fully.

No doubt another solid offering from the skate institution. The Old Skool Overt CC is out on August 26th. You can purchase them via the Vans website here. Check out the new kicks in action below.
