There are worse ways to spend a day than hanging out with Poppy Starr Olsen…

And anyone who knows her would agree that the Olympian skater (who happens also to be an extremely talented artist) is great company. Poppy balances the focus and drive that she needs as an athlete and the pressures of global attention with a pretty chill existence in Newcastle where she hangs with friends, plays music and draws… a lot.

Reflective of her personality, Poppy’s art is colourful and whimsical with a touch of weirdness in there. It’s this unique “doodling” imagery that CASETiFY have tapped for their latest collection which will be compatible with iPhone, Samsung, and Google Pixel and available on CASETiFY’s signature Impact, Ultra Impact, Impact Ring Stand, Mirror, Clear, Bounce andUltra Bounce Cases. It also encompasses AirPod and iPad cases – basically everything you would ever want to protect.

“I came from a family of artists and started drawing since I could hold a pencil,” Poppy says. I take a lot of inspiration from my travels and skaters who I’ve met as they’re really creative people. I’m so excited to have my art come to life with CASETiFY. The synergy of art and tech gadgets is really coming to life through the pieces I’ve designed, and I love how fun they look.”

In honour of the new drop, we spent some time with Poppy in Newcastle and got an up-close look at her process, her art, and (of course) we spent plenty of time skating.
