It’s well documented that 2 Chainz was a basketball before swapping out courts for studios, whereas Migos member Quavo is a rapper who seems to be turning towards basketball as of late. In regards to Lil Baby and Jack Harlow, well, they’re rappers who we assume can ball, and if they can’t, they better learn quick, as the four rappers will be playing in a two vs two basketball game.
Titled Bleacher Report’s Open Run and presented by Modelo Beer, the game featuring four of hip hop’s biggest stars is set to raise money for HBCUs (Historically Black colleges and universities).
Each player is set to represent a HBCU or two, with Jack Harlow representing Simmons College of Kentucky and Kentucky State, Lil Baby choosing Morehouse College and Spelman College and Quavo repping Clark Atlanta University and Spellman College. 2 Chainz’ choice however appears to have mad emotional weight, with the ‘It’s A Vibe’ rapper playing Division I basketball at Alabama State University before he stepped behind the mic, thus naturally, he’ll be representing them.
The game will be a first to 21 and will be held on Saturday, March 6, at 8 p.m. ET. If you’re like us and will be chomping at the big to witness the stars on the court, it will be streamed exclusively on B/R app and in partnership with Twitter, and is set to kick off the NBA All-Star Weekend.
Pretty mad, get ready for the game by sussing 2 Chainz and Quavo’s basketball skills below.
