ASAP Rocky has a new full-length on the horizon, and judging by his latest comments, we’re in for an absolute treat.
Rocky recently took the stage at Spotify’s Rap Caviar show in New York City, and stopped the music to remind the audience just who he is – namely, that he’s “the great fuckin’ artist of all time.” In an expletive-filled lecture to the audience, Rocky proclaims his greatness as well as comparing himself to Kanye West:
“In case ya’ll don’t know, like I said last time, I’m the greatest fuckin’ artist of all time n***a. Yeah, I’m on my cocky Kanye shit, whatever the fuck, suck my dick with that n***a. I’m the greatest contemporary artist of all-time. Renaissance, contemporary, all that. I need ya’ll n****s to know, all this little razzle dazzle, bum ass shit going on, Flacko Season ’bout to drop real soon.”
It seems that Rocky’s in a confident mindset to say the least, and now has plenty to live up to on his upcoming full length teased in the footage above.
Rocky has also suggested that he’s set to take a more experimental approach to his next album, telling GQ that “My new album is really about testing new sounds. People are scared to test new sounds, so they go with what’s current ’cause it’s the easy thing to do… I prefer to experiment and have my crowd grow with me and to reach new crowds. I don’t just rap—I actually make music.”
We’ll have to wait and see whether Rocky backs up his bold statements soon.
