If Wiz plays ‘See You Again’ I’m gonna be an absolute mess…

As Australia’s hip hop scene continues to grow by the day, you’d be hard pressed to find a rap show around the country that isn’t packed to the brim with faithful adherents of the genre. Well, now those very fans are about to be rewarded, as a new hip hop arena tour has just been announced for the nation.

Titled ‘Light It Up’, the tour is set to hit all major arenas in all major cities, starting at Sydney’s Qudos Bank on September 2nd before taking to the likes of RAC Arena, Rod Laver Arena and more. It’s a pretty massive undertaking, and luckily for future attendees (AKA me), the lineup is just as hot, with the tour today announcing the lineup for the festivities. Headlined by US rappers Wiz Khalifa, Rae Sremmurd and Lola Brooke, the show will see the three hip hop giants return to the nation with their biggest hits (and most audacious fits) in tow.

But it’s not just the American heavyweights stealing the show, with Aussie mainstays like Hooligan Hefs, Youngn Lipz and DJ BeastMode holding it down. Whether you’re a drill head, throwbacks or hip hop faithfuls, there’s a little something for everyone in this lineup. Add the fact that it’s an all-ages affair, and everyone is set to get in on the fun. Pre sale tickets go on sale from 12pm this Thursday, with general sale from 12pm the day after.
