Beyoncé & Jay Z are currently on their joint On The Run 2 tour, and have decided to surprise us all by spontaneously dropping their long rumoured collaborative album, Everything Is Love.

Hip-hop’s premier power couple have released the album exclusively on their own Tidal platform, consisting of nine tracks that takes us deep into their marriage (and cheating scandals) as well as high-profile events including the GRAMMYs and the Super Bowl halftime show, which Jigga claims he turned down. The album has also arrived with a video for the first single ‘Apeshit,’ which was filmed in the Louvre.

The album was made during sessions for Beyonce & Jay Z’s respective Lemonade and 4:44 albums. “We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together,” Jay said. “And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, ‘I’m making this album.’ I was right there the entire time.”

Of course, this is all making Australian fans even itchier for the On The Run 2 tour, which is making its way across North America and Europe, with rumours that it will be hitting Australia before the year closes. Fingers crossed, Everything Is Love below:
