Last week, some not-so-cryptic clues promised an Australian Justin Bieber announcement coming this morning, and they’ve delivered. Bieber will be hitting the country for four shows in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before flying across the Tasman for a final show in New Zealand. It’s no secret that his ever-enjoyable album Purpose created a massive shift in dialogue around the controversial star, showing his ability to create mature pop anthems as well as further versatility across dancehall, rap and electronica tracks, including collaborations with Diplo, Skrillex, Travis Scott and Major Lazer.
If Bieber wasn’t enough, a very special guest has been announced for all shows: Martin Garrix. Another teen sensation who had worldly success in the fist-pumping EDM spectrum with his stupidly catchy single ‘Animals’, Garrix has also shown a more refined (yet equally huge) sound with his recent belter ‘In The Name Of Love’. The choice of Garrix comes as no surprise, seeing as both talents have been managed by entrepreneur Scooter Braun.
Tickets for all shows go on sale from Wednesday, October 12 – which means that you have exactly eight days to scrape together the funds for the biggest pop tour to hit Australia in a minute. We suggest that you start opening multiple Internet browsers now – this will sell out. See all the dates and details below and start warming up them clicking fingers.
