The new event will run from February through to March next year…

In what’s set to be a fresh addition to Brisbane’s creative scene, Brisbane Powerhouse have announced a brand new festival for early next year, and just going off first impressions, it’s slated to be one of the city’s most unique yet.

Titled ΩHM (pronounced OHM), the new event is set to run next year from February through to March, and will feature a wide range of music and art, with performances and installations by the likes of Future Islands, mHz, The Chills, Yann Novak and countless more all on display. It’s an eclectic lineup to say the least, a sentiment echoed by Brisbane Powerhouse CEO/Artistic Director Kate Gould, “As the leader of contemporary art and culture in Queensland, we’re bringing some of the world’s most innovative creators and performers to Brisbane. Building on the cultural legacy of our iconic venue, audiences can expect to see more inspired art that agitates and connects.”

A highlight of the program however is iconic remixers Hear My Eyes who will bring together Melbourne dance duo Sleep D and the Oscar-winning Labyrinth for an invigorating remaining of the 2006 epic.
