The band will be playing for the Hall’s Switched On series…

Out of all the venues that have seen a resurgence in Sydney in recent months, City Recital Hall has by far been one of the biggest. Most recently hosting Flight Facilities for the Sydney leg of their Decades tour, the venue has proven itself to be capable of hosting everything from live music to dance-infused hits, peppered out one after another. Now, however, it’s putting together a bunch of gigs for local and international artists alike for its Switched On Series. And now, they’ve just announced the latest artist footing the bill, Thee Sacred Souls, who have been announced for next year.

Set to take place on March 15, 2024, the show will see the Southern California-based band bring all four members of their touring party for one night and one night only to Sydney, where they’ll be playing out songs from their debut self-titled LP, along with classic singles like ‘Love is the Way’, ‘Will I See You Again’ and their most recent, ‘Running Away’. And in accordance with Switched On tradition, the venue will be activated in a whole new light especially for Thee Sacred Souls, just to make the show just a little extra special and totally different to any gigs played at the venue in recent years.

It’ll definitely be one of the more unique gigs of the year, with the band’s live sets becoming something of legend in the R&B and neo-soul scenes. Case in point: Their KEXP set. Expect magnetic live vocals, instrumental harmony and plenty of improvised moments that will make you feel like you’re right there with them, jamming out on stage.

Definitely not one to miss out on. Be sure to cop tickets to Thee Sacred Souls’ Sydney show at City Recital Hall here. We’ll see you there.
