Summer is so close we can taste it. It tastes like Frosty Fruits, Bintang singlets and VB longenecks. There’s nothing quite like the warmer months Down Under, and Castaway is just one event to kick off the season in style.

For four sold-out editions, Castaway has brought the best in Australian talent to a picturesque beachside spot at Thompson’s Bay, Rottnest Island in Western Australia. Come December 11, they’re doing it once more with a mini-festival that’ll redefine the Sunday session: On headline duties we have Gang of Youths, whose ascension has been damn near unstoppable as of late. We make no secret about our crush on the Inner-West group – we’ve shot them three times over the past month, including that colossal Ampitheatre show at Splendour In The Grass.

Also on the lineup are Australian dance pioneers and club legends Bag Raiders, as well as ARIA Award winning songwriter Jarryd James and Perth’s own Palace holding it down for the hometown. Plus, there’s also a mysterious special guest on the bill who we’re guessing will be huge. Running from midday to 6:00pm, Castaway is bringing the heat and culminating with some euphoric sunset performances. If you’re looking for an excuse to head over to the West Coast, then this is it!

You can view all the details below and grab tickets to Castaway from this Thursday, August 11 right here:
