With a new album due in September and an Australian tour scheduled to reign in 2017 with a bang, there’s plenty of reasons for Australian Die Antwoord fans to be excited.
Now, the South African duo have delivered even more weirdness with the premiere of a new track, ‘We Have Candy’. The track is yet another taste of their forthcoming full-length Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid, and presents itself as a hip-hop dialogue with dramatic choral vocals sandwiched between bars. While that might sound like an absolute mess on paper, the results are magnetically creepy. ‘We Have Candy’ joins ‘Banana Brain’ on the tracklist of Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid, which is set to drop in full come September 16 – listen to both tracks below!
Outside of music, Die Antwoord have partnered with Natural Cannabis for a line of weed-related products, because of course they did. Previewed by Ninja on his Instagram account, the goodies include gold blunt wraps, vapes, chocolate and appropriately enough, candy. All of this is sure to get you in the right mindset for Die Antwoord’s Australian tour this December, and while they’ve been announced for Origin NYE over on the West Coast, we’re patiently waiting for more show dates around the country.
