If you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of music history, you’re in luck. Legends of Rock and Roll auction is about to kick off…

Headlined by the likes of Jimi Hendrix’s Japanese Sunburst, Kurt Cobain’s acoustic guitar from the ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ music video and Elvis’ 1976 Harley-Davidson, the list of items up for grabs is stacked to say the least. All of the above are expected to fetch small fortunes as well, with Hendrix’s Japanese Sunburst expected to fetch north of $250K USD while Cobain’s guitar (from the ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ video) is slated to nab several million. As for Elvis’ motorcycle, the iconic whip copped a solid $800,000 USD when it last hit the auction block, but considering the renewed interest in the legend thanks to Baz Luhurmann’s Elvis biopic, we’re expecting it fetch far more than its initial pricetag.

Other artist memorabilia set to be featured in the auction range include Amy Winehouse and Rick James, with Winehouse’s 2008 Grammys fit and Rick James’ leather bodysuit both set to be on offer. And of course, there are plenty more instruments for the music purists, with former Blink-182 frontman Tom Delonge’s electric guitars available along with Slash’s famed axe guitar. Overall, there’s 190 pieces in the auction, in what’s certainly any die-hard music fan’s dream.

It’s no doubt one of the biggest auctions in music history. For now, check out the rest of the items from the auction below and be sure to shop it here.
