30 years ago Metallica released their career-defining Black Album. It was the album that blasted the band into the mainstream and saw them go onto play shows like the one below in Russia, which it’s estimated that over one million people attended. Let that sink in – Coachella is capacity is 250K…
To celebrate the anniversary they’ve teamed up with Vans again having collabed a handful of times over the years bridging the metal and action sports worlds in a wave of predominantly black kicks. This limited-edition run, which sees them take over the Sk8-Hi and Classic Slip-On, was designed by longtime Metallica collaborator Pushead and is one of the more colourful merch drops that you’ll see from the band.
