4 days, 40 artists and 11 gigs in Sydney.

Despite all the blows to Sydney nightlife over the past few years, the Red Bull Music Academy Weekender is here to bring world-class acts to clubs across the city and preserve the party spirit. Kicking off tomorrow night and stretching all throughout the weekend, the series of events include everything from a talk with Ta-ku to an evening of beats with the legendary Stones Throw collective – and of course, Flight Facilities’ gigantic hometown show at The Domain with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Bring out your dancing shoes, because this is the biggest marathon of events we’ve seen in a minute.

Kicking off all the festivities is ‘Night Moves’, which is going down at Oxford Art Factory on Thursday, September 8. They describe the party as a night of ‘Subterranean sounds and forward-leaning club jams’, with a mega-bill stacked with talent like Kilo Kish, Cliques, Bok Bok and Lewis Cancut. Local club duo and turtleneck connoisseurs Low Ton will also be in the house, having provided Sydney with parties like Rapp Payback and Friday Lite, while also taking over the FBi Click airwaves with turn-up rap and wonderfully weird electronica.
