Is Mcfarland late on the whole April Fools thing?
Fresh from… ahhh… prison, where he served time for wire fraud, the man who has behind one of the biggest shitshows of all time, Billy Mcfarland has taken to Twitter to declare: “Fyre Festival II is finally happening. Tell me why you should be invited.”
In case you missed it, Fyre Festival was the train wreck that took the world by storm in 2017. McFarland, along with his partner-in-crime Ja Rule, promised a luxury music festival on a private island in the Bahamas with all the glitz and glamour imaginable. But what attendees actually got was anything but. From emergency relief tents masquerading as lodging to pitiful styrofoam plates passing off as gourmet cuisine, it was a disaster of epic proportions.
Details about Fyre Fest II are still scant, but McFarland is confident that he and his team have learned from their mistakes. Or have they? Only time will tell if this sequel will be a hit or another hilarious miss. Will there be enough tents this time? Will the food be edible? Will Blink-182 make a comeback? We have so many questions…

In the meantime, social media is abuzz with jokes and memes about the impending fiasco. One Twitter user quipped, “I’m just here for the memes and the popcorn.” Another joked, “If they need a social media influencer, I’m available to document the madness.”
And what now? Well, now we wait and see if there really is anything to Mcfarland’s Tweet? Is it an attention grab from a washed up finance/tech bro. Is anyone actually gonna buy tickets to his festival…
