We’ve had no shortage of Australian dance and electronic stars finding international success in the past few years, but this might be the biggest pop crossover yet.
Katy Perry has been gaining plenty of headlines lately – whether it’s her cannibalistic new video for ‘Bon Appetit‘ or publicly shading Taylor Swift once again. All of this is plenty of much-needed spotlight for her upcoming album Witness, which is due for release in a few weeks time on June 9.
As reported by Stoney Roads, Perry’s album is full of global stars including Migos & Nicki Minaj, but a look at the production credits on Wikipedia reveals more eyebrow-raising additions. It lists Hayden James and Golden Features as producers of the fifth track on Witness, and while we won’t take Wikipedia as a definitive source just yet, this is looking very interesting:
We’re especially keen to see how Golden Features’ thumping production teams with the more down-tempo Hayden James, and how both will work in harmony with Perry’s pop sensibilities. We’re sure that the whole dance community will be listening to Perry’s album with intrigue and enthusiasm – let’s hope that this collaboration is indeed real.
