The late-night radio show is leaving the airwaves for the… ahhh… pubwaves?

Since its inception a couple of years back, Heavy Demo has been championing the creme de la creme of Sydney’s music scene. The radio show, which began life on Orbital Radio, has seen the likes of Kim Moyes, Paddy Cornwall, Johnny and Mason (DMAs), Isabella Manfredi, Kirin J Callinan and more share their vinyl and rock and roll anecdotes with host Rik Saunders.

Now Heavy Demo is hitting the stage, taking over the House of Music & Booze in St Peters for an evening of live music, vinyl DJs, tasty drinks – shoutout to Young Henrys and Jameson for once again backing local artists. Performing on the night will be gritty garage stalwarts Straight Arrows, doo-wop fuzz lords The Melodrones, cocaine cowboys Bad Jeep Country and newcomers Heavy Metal Country.

If that lineup doesn’t have you salivating with desire, the vinyl DJ roster oughta get you over the line: Jack Ladder, TeeVee & Jen, Buz (RMFC), Reenie, King O.P.P., and Sad Girls Sex Club will al be slinging tunes on the night.

Before you clean up that drool, head here to purchase a pre-sale ticket and go into the draw to win a pair of Audio Technica earbuds worth $120. Ok, now go and clean yourself up.
