If he pulled this off he’d be the GOAT of all things…

J.Cole just released a dope new commercial for his upcoming Puma Dreamer sneaker, and although the clip itself is beautiful, it’s got us thinking that it’s all just a big teaser for him joining the NBA. The video features Cole exhausted in the gym, as another version of him is working on his jump shot in the background (special effects eh!). Then, we’re blessed with the gorgeous vocals chords of hip hop legend Master P., who says “You can’t be serious. I know you ain’t bout to try and do what I think you bout to try to do, cause that would be crazy. And you ain’t crazy is you? I mean, what’s the odds?”

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it: Cole is trying out for the NBA. I mean, he did go super in-depth into his NBA aspirations in a previous interview for The Players Tribune, with the Carolina rapper stating that it was once his goal to make it to NBA before it was his goal to make it into Jay-Z’s office and become a rapper (F in the chat for Jay). Closing out the essay, titled The Audacity, Cole got super deep and meta, pondering about whether he could still make the transition, saying “However, as I approach the summit of this mountain, I still find myself staring at that other one in the distance, wondering if I can climb. At 35 years old, I know that sounds crazy when said out loud, but I believe all of the best dreams do.”

I mean, I’m sold. Imagine Cole dropping mad three pointers then breaking out into a full rap diss. Check the trailer for the sneaker below to see the creative wizard Cole is as well as to just acknowledge his kick ass jump shot.
