He’s dropped his own album, produced another four from the G.O.O.D. Music camp, and co-directed the first ever PornHub awards – but it looks like he’s still got plenty sitting on his plate. Yeezy took to Twitter to promise a sequel to the Watch The Throne album, the lengthy collaboration with Jay Z that dropped back in 2011.

That album produced massive hits including ‘Otis’ and ‘N*ggas In Paris’, and despite the album’s chart success, the strained relationship between Jay and Ye has raised doubts as to whether a follow-up would ever materialise. As recently as 2016, Ye told audiences on the Saint Pablo tour that “there will never be a Watch the Throne 2,” but it seems that he’s now shifted his decision.
While there’s no word from Jay as to whether the latest Tweet is true, let’s hope that Kanye keeps his word. In addition to the promise, Ye said that Throne 2 is coming ‘soon’ – so we might even see it before the year’s end.
