Homegrown treasures and Aussie music mainstay, King Stingray, have been making some series waves in the local music scene as of late. Boasting a top spot in double j’s 50 best albums of 2022 list, a stacked list of shows over NYE and praise from eternal tastemaker, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese himself, it’s safe to say they’re firing on all cylinders right now, which makes the news that they’re heading back out on the road welcome to say the least.
Set to tour in support their debut LP King Stingray which dropped last year, the tour will kick off on June 24th at the Enmore Theatre in Warrang (Sydney), before the band take to the likes of Astor Theatre in Perth, The Forum in Melbourne and The Tivoli in Brissy, in what’s set to be their biggest run of shows yet. They’ll also be bringing Unearthed High winner George Alice and Old Mervs along for the ride, if you somehow needed more convincing to cop a ticket.
It’s definitely the year of the Stingray, and judging by the rave reviews their self-titled debut LP garnered just last year, we’re guessing the nation agrees. Check out the full list of dates for their upcoming Aussie tour below, and be sure to cop presale tickets here from 10am this Thursday.
