Continuing to make a name for herself as one of Australia’s leading voices for R&B, Sydney’s Lara Andallo has today returned with a new single. Titled ‘OBSESSED’, the new offering from the singer-songwriter is a steamy summer bop that’s impossible not to have stuck in your head long after your first listen.

Co-written with UK rapper/producer Ebenezer, the bop starts with rolling synth lines and alluring vocal layers as Lara sings about a flame and the fires of obsession. The crushing 808s and vibrant production layers help to enrich Lara’s silky vocals as she glides between the various parts of her vocal range with ease.

The hook is where it all comes to fruition, with Lara repeating the phrase ‘With Me’ as the synths reach a cascading crescendo in turn, maximising in harmony and resonance with each vocal repetition.

Speaking on the inspiration and purpose behind the new tune, Lara explains, “I wanted to release a song that’s gonna be people’s summer anthem. I want people to be dancing & sweating in the club to this record all Summer long.”
