Sydney-based pop producer SIILA has delivered us a shiny new love letter in the form of her sophomore track ‘Memoirs’. This is a soulful song made for those long nights spent dreaming about lost loves of the past. It glitters with tender, breathy vocals that stir up the romantic in all of us. But I wouldn’t call this a heartbreaker. ‘Memoirs’ is a syrupy track, with just enough groove to get us in the mood for slow dancing around our bedrooms.

SIILA really is your newest sound to obsess over. You may already have her popular debut track ‘BYM.’ jamming on your Spotify playlist. It’s no wonder she’s grown such an organic following. Her music is raw, personal, lovesick. It’s just the kind of bleeding heart we adore.

But the true intimacy within her music is no better explained than by SIILA herself. She describes the single as, “A personal account about feelings towards an ended relationship, addressing the past, present and future. With lyrics derived from an old journal, ‘Memoirs’ is much like a salutation, encapsulating the bitter-sweet ending of a past love.”
