Melbourne producer Fossa Beats has been making some steady noise over the past few years, but it’s fair to say that ‘Please Believe’ marks his biggest leap forward yet.

With releases on Mad Decent (head honcho Diplo called him “an important artist coming out of Australia”) and a tour with GANZ under his belt, Fossa Beats has established himself as a beat-maker who can jump confidently from future bass to R&B, exploring all the sounds in between. His 2016 release ‘Echoes’ received a rework from Atlanta producer FKi 1st, the man responsible for Post Malone’s massive breakout hit ‘White Iverson’ and additional tracks from Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Migos, Justin Bieber and more.

Now, Fossa Beats and FKi 1st have teamed up on ‘Please Believe,’ which also features Allen Ritter (Rihanna, Drake, Tinashe) and additional production from Charlie Handsome (Kanye West, Lil Dicky, Young Thug). Given the world-class portfolios of the parties involved, it’s easy to see why Fossa Beats is thrilled with his latest release. “It’s amazing to have such respected and high profile artists in the music industry apart of my project. FKi 1st has been a mentor and close collaborator over the past few years so I’m stoked to have him feature on my debut single,” he says.

‘Please Believe’ is a slick effort, a slow burner with enough head-nodding appeal to ooze its way into regular R&B rotation. FKi 1st and Ritter lend their vocals to the track, while the production plays between gentle guitar licks and thick, booming bass.
