Leading the charge with 11 nominations, it was singer-songwriter Jon Batiste’s night, collecting the ceremony’s most prized award in Album of The Year for his work on We Are. Elsewhere, pop-duo Silk Sonic (comprised of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak) took home four trophies, with their track ‘Leave The Door Open’ receiving a win for both Record and Song of The Year.
Meanwhile, despite having an incomparably mammoth breakout year, 19-year-old Olivia Rodrigo won only two of her seven total nominations, beating out the likes of The Kid Laroi in The Best New Artist Category. On the hip-hop front, Tyler, The Creator won Best Rap Album for his work on Call Me If You Get Lost, while Jay-Z and Kanye took home the gong for Best Rap Song (despite the latter’s rescinded invite).
