Someone Made A Mash-Up Of Slipknot + Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’ & It Actually Goes Off
So wrong, but so right.

We definitely live in a simulation…

For some ungodly reason none of us can begin to understand, a producer by the name of DYNAMIKE has made a mashup of Slipknot and Gloria Gaynor, and against all of our expectations (and hopes), it actually slaps.

Pulling together the vocals from ‘The Devil In I’ from Slipknot album The Gray Chapter and layering them upon Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive,’ DYNAMIKE somehow manages to merge 70s soul with well, whatever the absolute opposite is to 70s soul. I’d spend some more time describing the remix sounds like but it’s exactly as it sounds; no more, no less.

But wouldn’t you know it, it actually works, retaining the motivational and uplifting aspects of Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 hit while at the same time making you want to embrace your deepest and darkest desires. By the time you get to the hook of ‘The Devil In I’ you almost forget that its a remix, which is a terrifying thought. Now we’re convinced that there’s a parallel universe out there where this is the original version of the tune, which straight up makes our skin crawl.

But that’s music in 2021 for you. Cop a listen to DYNAMIKE’s remix of ‘Coria Taynor – Devil Will Survive’ below.
