With the summer party season coming to an end, renowned Aussie festival Splendour in the Grass has swooped in this Wednesday morning to keep the hype going, announcing one of the first artists for its 2023 lineup. Set to return to the North Byron Parklands from July 21-23, the Northern Rivers mainstay will feature a wide array of artists from the live music and electronic spheres across multiple stages, along with a diverse range of arts and culture activities for all to indulge in.
Anticipation has undoubtedly been building for the release of this year’s lineup, with a stack of international and homegrown acts expected to grace the Splendour stages in July. Now, we’ve gotten word of one of the first headliners for the festivities, with none other than trailblazing singer and rapper, Lizzo, as the first artist announced for the bill this Wednesday morning.
Having burst onto the scene with her platinum-certified debut album, CUZ I LOVE YOU, in 2019, the Grammy winning artist has built a legion of fans across the globe for her upbeat and funky tracks like ‘Juice’, ‘Good As Hell’, and the record-breaking ‘Truth Hurts’. Now, armed with her latest record, Special, the chart-topping artist brings the heat Down Under in July.
Understandably, excitement for the 2023 festival has been amplified as a result of Lizzo’s inclusion on the lineup, and to celebrate, Splendour are releasing a bunch of first release from 9am next Thursday, with four payment instalment options available as well for those who prefer to pay over time.
