Australia’s biggest dance festival, Stereosonic is creeping up awfully quickly. The two-day affair will trek across Australia in what has to be one of the most ambitious line-ups to ever hit Down Under. We’ve already selected our Top 10 picks for 2014, and to amp up the anticipation, the Stereosonic launch parties have just been announced with a little twist thrown in.

The crew will be hosting two simultaneous parties in Sydney and Melbourne to welcome in the festival. Soundtracking the events will be Laidback Luke, streaming live from Amsterdam via “Mixify’s two-way HD livestream technology.” This means that fans will be able to interact with Laidback Luke and fistpump to their heart’s content while Laidback Luke plays for them from another continent.

It’s a cool concept, and knowing Stereosonic, the technology and production they put into this will be top notch. The parties will take place on Thursday October 23, at Kit & Kaboodle in Sydney and The Empire in Melbourne. You can find more information about the parties right here.
