Time bloody flies I tell you…

After much teasing and hinting, Vanity Fair has finally dropped its fourth instalment of the ‘Same Interview’ series with Billie Eilish. If you’re not familiar, the first one absolutely blew TF up when it came out in 2017, following Billie’s meteoric ascent to fame and success. Each instalment throughout the years has definitely given us an insight into the biggest popstar in the world, showing her through various highs and lows throughout her career, all of which fans and the media have constantly picked up on.

Last year’s instalment definitely saw her return to a happy place, and she keeps that up this year, however making numerous references to COVID-19, racial tensions, and the presidential election, which is basically unavoidable after everything thats happened in 2020. But it’s cool to see her talk about the topics in such a wise and mature manner, showing that she’s growing up as well as possible in the spotlight.

It’s definitely a trip and a half, and makes you feel hella old. Pretty much all of her answers have changed drastically, except the response to ‘What is your favourite movie?’ (Of course it’s still Fruitvale Station).
