By now, most of you will be familiar with Damo & Darren – the accurate animated characters who represent derelict Australiana in its most rancid forms. The mini-series by Michael Cusack has earned millions of views on YouTube – as well as a handful of remixes and tributes – and now you can pay homage to the characters with these new decks from Cliche Skateboards.
Given that Damo & Darren’s second episode saw them drink longnecks and wreak havoc at a skate park, the collaboration with Cliche makes sense – and here we find their images painted against fuchsia and radioactive green backdrops. Cliche riders Andrew Brophy and Sammy Winter have also had their names attached to the boards in what has to be one of their strongest and most bizarre achievements to date.
