Last year it was Penelope Cruz, and this year it’s Emilia Clarke: Esquire have once again named the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’, with the 28-year-old Game of Thrones and Terminator star taking out the title for 2015.

It’s certainly an accolade to be proud of, and the English actress dazzles in the accompanying shoot for the November issue – which keeps things sultry, classy and predominantly black-and-white. In the interview, Clarke makes us fall even further in love with her by explaining that she was at a Metallica concert the night before. She also discusses how she studied for her Game of Thrones role by extensive research on Wikipedia and some of her more difficult scenes.
