44 years young.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of West Coast rap icon Snoop Dogg, who’s turning 44 years young at a club which caught on fire for some reason.

Still, that shouldn’t stop the man from celebrating his birthday and reflecting on what has been a truly remarkable career. From his early days in Death Row to his transition into a Lion, Snoop has charmed audiences for over two decades with his lanky frame, goofball humour and nasal delivery – a welcome break from West Coast rap’s usual staunch demeanour. Also, he’s been responsible for white people adding ‘izzle’ to everything ironically.

In honour of Snoop’s birthday, we’ve picked 10 of his classics that are still spinning in our rotation today. Sure, club DJs still bump ‘Gin & Juice’ and ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, but here’s some others that will live on forever. Blaze one in honour of Snoop, you deserve it.
