Having recently celebrated 40 years of snowboarding with a shindig in Sydney’s Surry Hills, Burton isn’t wasting any time looking towards the future – and have outlined their approach with a new video titled ’40 Years Forward’.

Celebrating the great leaps and bounds that snowboarding has made over time, ’40 Years Forward’ features archived footage from Burton’s 40 year existence – including some truly magnificent throwback outfits – and uses the brand’s history as a blueprint for what’s to come. Honouring not only the sport itself but snowboarding culture at large, Burton themselves tell you to “go ahead and look back. Just always remember to keep moving forward.” See the neat video here:

As proof of their mantra, Burton’s latest Winter collection is just now hitting stores, featuring their most progressive collection yet – with elements to brave Mother Nature and perform at your highest potential. The range includes boots, bindings and all outwerwear, as well as a ‘Family Tree‘ range of boards that’s constructed from sustainable materials and “includes FSC certified wood cores and packaging, as well as our new bio-based Super Sap epoxy resin and recycled bases.”
