Holding it down…
LeBron James continues to hold down the memory of Nipsey Hussle and Kobe Bryant following their untimely deaths both last year and the year before. It’s common knowledge that James was close with both stars, crossing paths with them both on and off the court and subsequently developing a deep bond with both of them.
Now, he’s shown off his latest tribute to the two, and it might just be one of his classiest yet. Taking to Instagram, the king posted a picture of him posing with a new artwork hanging in his hallway; a black and white image of both Nipsey and Kobe with gold leaf crowns on their heads, along with the caption “Wit me every single day when walking my hallways. Continues to live on! #LegendsNeverDie.”
It’s pretty gorgeous, and just goes to show how much of an OG James is. The artwork isn’t his first effort at keeping their spirits alive though, getting a tattoo tribute for Kobe after he passed away as well as frequently being seen rocking Nipsey shirts all around NBA games. He also said in an interview shortly after Nipsey died that it was “one of the most unfortunate events that’s happened in American history.”
