Mark McMorris stomped his way to X Games Gold in Big Air Finals on Friday night, claiming his first gold medal in the event since 2012. The twenty-one year old was on point, popping triple corks each way off the massive 84′ jump with stylish precision.

“The level of riding tonight was huge. It’s just amazing what tricks can be done on command these days—it’s amazing. I’m happy to be standing on top of podium tonight!” said McMorris following the event.

McMorris scored 47 points on his top run which included a backside triple cork 1620 and 41 points on his second best run which included a frontside 1440 for highest cumulative score of 88.
