NBA legend Kendrick Perkins suffered a normal person problem the other day as his credit card got declined at a store the other day. Sounds totally normal right? Not for Perkins, with his credit card bill revealing he had approximately $26,000 AUD worth of Fortnite bills on his credit card. But it wasn’t Perkins who had splurged on the popular shooter game, but his two sons.
Appearing on ESPN’s Hoop Streams on Tuesday, Perkins explained his sons’ obsession with the game.

“I hate video games. My kids drive me crazy with it. In my house there’s nothing but Fortnite, NBA2K – it just drives me crazy”.
“I go to the store to buy something, credit card declined. I get my credit card bill back. Come to find out, I got US$16,000 worth of Fortnite bills on my credit card”.
Wild right? You might be thinking “How the hell does someone clock $26,000 worth of bills on Fortnite?!” Well apparently the two gamers spent it all on skins, which are used to change the appearance of a character.
$26,000 is certainly a hefty price to pay for a wardrobe that you literally can’t wear. But we’re sure this isn’t the first time this has happened to someone, nor will it be the last. Strange times we live in…
