Have a beer while supporting a good cause? I’ll drink to that.

Newtown brewing company Young Henrys are commemorating the achievements of tennis star Dylan Alcott by declaring February 3rd as ‘Dylan Alfroth Day.’ The calendar event (which should be a national holiday), comes after Alcott’s recent crowning as Australian of the Year, and will celebrate his trailblazing advocacy for people living with a disability.

As a nod to Alcott’s work both on and off the court, Young Henrys will donate a portion of all their February sale proceeds to the Dylan Alcott Foundation, which has helped deliver mentoring, grants and scholarships for disabled Australians since 2017. To ensure Dylan Alfroth Day makes its mark, Young Henrys have also commissioned a mural by Gadigal artist Jeswri, which will be unveiled at Le Bon Ton in Melbourne on February 3.

Speaking of his very-own inaugural day, the fresh retiree said he’s “extremely thankful for the support from the team at Young Henrys… Dylan Alfroth day will be one to remember and I can’t wait to celebrate.” For more on how you can contribute, head to Young Henrys website here.
