After a killer NBA career that saw him be virtually unstoppable, it seems former Lakers star Shaquille O’Neal has well and truly found is match in broadcasting, going head-to-head against co-anchor Candace Parker on the WNBA.
Parker, who’s a former WNBA star and is the first woman first woman to dunk twice in a college game (along with being the first woman to dunk in an NCAA tournament game) knows her shit when it comes to the art of dunking and kicking ass on the court, and she definitely reminded Shaw of it on Tuesday’s Inside the NBA on TNT. The moment came up with an idea to level the playing field between the male and female basketball players.
“I have a way to make it equal,” Shaq said. “So in beach volleyball, the women’s net is maybe a half-an-inch lower. You think if we lower the rim so y’all can dunk like we dunk that would give y’all more oomph than you already have?”
Candace Parker wasn't into Shaq's suggestion that the WNBA should lower the rim so that players could dunk "It's coming…My next child will be drop step dunking" pic.twitter.com/5tVkRJ3Nb4

Parker wasn’t at all digging the suggestion, immediately replying no and instead making a promise to Shaq, iterating that women basketball players would be dunking soon while adding “My next child will be drop-step dunking. I promise you.”
We definitely believe her, and it’s clear she knows her stuff, especially after that recent clip of her schooling Shaq on defensive schemes in the NBA went viral online.

No doubt the two will have some disagreements or back and forth in the future. Until the next one of those, check out her winning the 2004 McDonald’s All-American Dunk Contest to be reminded of the total badass she is on the court.
