Following a recent incident of stepping on Dallas Maverick’s player Luka Doncic’s ankle, it’s safe to say Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris is properly in hot water. Specifically, Morris was accused of stepping on Doncic’s ankle injured ankle on purpose a couple days back, which he immediately refuted, saying “Basketball has never been that serious to try to hurt somebody. Im not apologizing for s–t because I know what I put into this game day in and day out. It was a mistake deal wit it. Competing is why I play.” But now, it’s gonna be even harder for fans to believe him, with the Clippers forward ejected from Game Six of the NBA playoffs for a hard foul on Doncic.
Video shows Doncic penetrating through the Clippers defence and Morris’ guard to go for the layup, when at the last second Morris hits down on Doncic’s head and sends him flying. Understandably so, Doncic was super riled up, and lunged at Morris as his teammates restrained him. You can see little concern on Morris’ face after Doncic goes down too, obviously not caring about whether he injured his fellow player.
Pretty crazy stuff, check out both incidents below to see whether you think Morris’ behaviour is out of line.
An NBA basketball court is 4,700 square feet, and Marcus Morris steps directly on Luka’s publicly injured left ankle… coincidence? You tell me. pic.twitter.com/U6Mfb2fD5e
