With Sydney’s own golden boy Flume headlining the bill, it’s his first Australian tour in over a year we’re sure to expect some big things and possibly a peek into his upcoming album due in 2016. With a brand new live show and his wealth of experience touring overseas, it’s a recipe for a good time.
So in light of the announcement, here are the Top Five acts we’re itching to see:
We’ve already stated why. This will be a welcome return for Flume to the Australian festival circuit, and bound to be big.

The previous OFWGKTA affiliate stunned with his debut appearance on Earl Sweatshirt’s album, which eventually led to the 2013 release of his mixtape ‘Stolen Youth’. Since then, Staples has gone from strength to strength by releasing ‘Summertime 06’ which held the #2 spot on Hip-Hop charts for most of 2015, and for good reason. With this much hype, we’re sure to be blown away.

Tip-toeing the line between Hip-Hop and Electronica, Hermitude’s profile has skyrocketed since the release of their bangin’ album ‘Dark Night Sweet Light’ earlier this year – upgrading their live show to venues like Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. The Elefant Traks veterans continue to perform their hearts out at every show, including a cool edit of Kanye West’s ‘All Day’ which we saw at Groovin’ The Moo.

It will be summer and face it, it will be hot and sweaty. So amongst the intense acts that will get you going, it’s also good to chill and get swept away with Beach Houses euphoric, feel good sounds. Looking to find love at a festival? This is where you need to be.

Back in June, production extraordinaire Hudson Mohawke leaked that a summer appearance at Laneway was happening and we couldn’t of been happier. Between his work for Kanye West, TNGHT and his own solo material, we know that this is going to be a set of bass-filled bangers.
