In more toilet paper related news, (I can’t believe I’m starting an article with that, strange times we live in) A Sydney store has come up with an ingenious way of deterring hording and panic buying amongst its shoppers.

The Redfern convenience store has opted to introduce a new pricing strategy instead of product limits on the items, with buying additional toilet rolls inducing a colossal price increase for customers.

Basically, customers will be able to purchase a two-pack of toilet rolls for $3.50, but buying a second pack will make the price skyrocket to $99.

Taking to the socials to explain the unusual move, store owner Hazem Sedda explained that they were trying to avoid the toilet paper shortages seen all across the country, whilst ensuring that everyone is able to access the rare commodity.

“For all our customers. We do have toilet paper. And we are doing our best to keep them in stock for you. Please only buy what you need. Don’t buy to stock up as a lot of people are desperate for one roll”.

Mr Sedda finished the caption with “From the Greatest Redfern Convenience Store we wish all the best”. I mean, with an idea as ingenious as that, safe to say he’s probably earned that title fair and square. Props to you mate!
