Things are getting back to normal…

After several weeks of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple has announced that it’s Aussie retail stores will reopen on Thursday May 7, at 10am.

The initial reopening date was set to be in an additional one or two weeks, but since COVID-19 cases are continuing to remain low, it’s been brought forward, and we’re definitely not complaining.

There is a catch though, across the 21 Apple stores that will be reopening (excluding the Sydney CBD store as it’s still undergoing renovations) customers will need to have their temperature checked before entering, and Apple will reduce the number of customers in a store at any given time.

“We’re excited to begin welcoming visitors back to our Australia stores later this week. We’ve missed our customers and look forward to offering our support,” said an Apple spokesperson in a statement.

So if you’ve got a broken screen that needs fixing (guilty) or are just craving some new Apple tech, you’ll be able to get your fix soon enough. Here’s hoping this is the first of many stores to reopen their doors in the near future…
