NSW Set To Ease More Restrictions Regarding Pubs And Regional Travel From June 1

Slowly getting back to normal…

As lockdown restrictions are slowly starting to ease around the country, we’re getting a taste of what life was like pre-COVID, and it’s absolutely glorious. After NSW eased restrictions regarding public gatherings and dining last Friday, it seems we’re gonna see another easing of restrictions pretty soon.

From June 1 NSW will allow for pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to have 20 people dine in, which is twice the current limit of 10 patrons. Adding on, art galleries, libraries and museums will be allowed to reopen as well, generating work for employees while helping Sydneysiders start enjoying leisurely activities again.

NSW is also reportedly set to announce an easing of restrictions of regional travel from June 1, which will give regional communities “the boost they need to bounce back by visiting and spending locally,” a spokeswoman for the Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney said. Premier Gladys Berejiklian is expected to make the announcement today.

“Some want it desperately because they appreciate the economic activity that will bring, and others are a bit more anxious about what that means”.

It seems other parts of the country aren’t as optimistic however, with Queensland Premier Annastacia Palasczuk stating that she may not reopen borders until September, as well as Western and South Australia signalling that their borders could remain closed until the end of winter.
