In a move to reduce protests and regain control of Dallas, Texas, police are attempting to get people to snitch on each other, specifically by getting them to report any illegal activity from ongoing protests through the iWatch Dallas app. Naturally, protesters weren’t too happy, and came up with a pretty unique way of thwarting the Police’s attempts to turn them against each other.
Now for the other part of the story. The K-Pop fanbase are known to for their incredible ability to swarm the internet, flooding social media platforms like Twitter with enough images and clips to make any topic instantly go viral. So, they’ve decided to turn their powers toward the Dallas police force, sharing K-Pop fancams in order to help conceal the identities of protesters.
The Dallas Police Force’s iWatch app quickly became overrun, causing the app to shutdown due to anΒ “overwhelmed server” as stated on their website.
